CORALVILLE (KWWL) -

A woman hired to clean a couple's home allegedly ended up sweeping out their bank account instead.

Coralville Police say 32-year old Stephanie Eakes stole a couple's credit card - used it - racking up more than $1,500 worth of items.

Police say sometime between November and December 2014 Eakes stole the credit card, making six unauthorized purchases.

According to the criminal complaints, Eakes went straight to Hobby Lobby - a store known for selling home decor - and two area Walmarts in Coralville and Iowa City buying a bundle to merchandise

All the items purchased with that stolen credit card was found inside Easkes Riverside home.

There's video surveillance of Eakes using the stolen credit card inside all three store locations, but police say they can't release it because it's still part of their investigation.

Eakes is facing unauthorized use of a credit card and 2nd degree theft charges.

If Eakes is convicted on both of those felony charges, she could face up to 10 years behind bars.
