Tonight will be dry with a partly to mostly cloudy sky -- but more rain, and snow in our northern counties, is returning.

The sky quickly becomes cloudy Tuesday morning, with rain developing in the afternoon. Look for a gusty southeast wind at 15-25 mph.

The rain continues into Tuesday night.

Areas along and north of a line from Charles City to Prairie du Chien, the rain changes to snow with an accumulation around 1 inch. South of this line just rain.

Precipitation will taper off around 2 or 3 a.m. Wednesday. Rain amounts will be near 0.50-0.75".

A spotty shower may linger into Wednesday, otherwise mostly cloudy.
