March is National Frozen Foods Month. Even though your food is not fresh, there are quite a few benefits to freezing foods.

Benefits include: Foods are prepared and seasoned, convenient, and there's little to no waste.

    So what should you look for in foods that are best when frozen?

When looking at fruit – make sure there is no added sugar

When looking at vegetables/potatoes – make sure there is no added salt or sauces

When looking at frozen dinners – make sure there is 600 mg of sodium or less per serving
