Clark falls in final, Hawkeyes finish as runner-up

The team title had already been decided before Cory Clark stepped on the mat in the 133 pound final. Iowa had fallen short of capturing their first crown in 5 years as Ohio State clinched their first ever championship during the placing matches earlier in the day.

Clark, the Hawkeyes lone finalist, fell well behind Oklahoma's Cody Brewer early in the match, and couldn't recover falling 11-8 for a runner-up finish.

Iowa, meanwhile, finished 10 points behind the Buckeyes when all was said and done, taking home the second place hardware.

Iowa crowned 6 All-Americans over the course of the weekend. Thomas Gilman and Brandon Sorenson took home 4th place finishes. Bobby Telford finished 5th, Mike Evans took 6th, and Nathan Burak rounded out the group on the podium with a 7th place finish.
