SEATTLE (KWWL) -

Despite losing shooting momentum late in the first half, the University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team is making quick work of Wyoming in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Seattle.

The No. 5-seeded UNI Panthers led the Cowboys 35-24 at halftime, thanks to Seth Tuttle's 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The teams traded buckets to start, but it was UNI's Nate Buss with the 3-pointer to make it 8-7 that began to solidify the Panthers' lead in the first half.

Both the Cowboys and the Panthers played tough defense, but then UNI went on a 10-0 run to force an early timeout from Wyoming.

UNI went on another run, hitting 5 of 7 shots, while Wyoming couldn't shoot the ball, going 1 for 6 at one point.

But then UNI's shooting went cold; with three minutes left, the Panthers were just 1 for 10 from the field. But Wyoming still couldn't get their shots, keeping the game in UNI's favor.

The Cowboys' Charles Hankerson Jr. was the only reliable shooting, hitting nearly every trey he took, including one right at the halftime buzzer.
