Mason City man pleads not guilty to Subway arson

Posted: Updated:
MASON CITY (AP) - An April trial has been scheduled for a 23-year-old man accused of breaking into a Mason City Subway restaurant and setting it on fire.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports that Ethan Miller has pleaded not guilty to charges of arson, burglary and theft.

Authorities say Miller was an employee when he broke into the restaurant when it was closed on Dec. 29. Investigators say they think Miller was intending to commit a theft.

Court records say the trial is scheduled to begin on April 21.
