CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The UNI Panthers Men's basketball team were the stars Sunday night and the fans couldn't be more proud of this team.

"This year's team is probably the most focused and driven team that I've seen here at this school," said Clint Fuller, UNI Alum.

Fuller joined hundreds of fans in purple and gold to pack the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center for the Selection Sunday show.

The team was on hand to take pictures, sign autographs, and speak to the crowd.

For senior Seth Tuttle, it was a night to remember.

"When our name popped up there to hear our crowd behind us and our fans you know just to see the excitement on the face of our guys it was a lot of fun," said Tuttle.

Coach Ben Jacobson addressed the crowd saying they've been down this road before but this year was different.

He says the crowd Sunday night was awesome.

"People were talking about it around town so I knew there'd be a crowd in here, but not this kind of crowd. And the enthusiasm that they showed for our guys, it was awesome," said Jacobson.

UNI will play Wyoming in Seattle on Friday.
