WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A man who walked away from a Waterloo hospital three weeks ago was found dead in a backyard Wednesday.

Prince Joshua Flomo, 25, of Waterloo, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Capt. Dave Mohlis of the Waterloo Police Department.

Flomo's body was found in a small space between two sheds in the backyard of 521 Wildwood Road in Waterloo. His body was found by the resident just before noon Wednesday, March 11.

Police initially listed Flomo as a missing person after the man walked away from Covenant Medical Center on Feb. 22 wearing only a hospital gown and robe, and no shoes.

The cause of death was ruled as exposure to cold temperatures. The low temperature the night of Feb. 22 was minus-6 degrees in Waterloo, according to KWWL chief meteorologist Mark Schnackenberg.

Michael Crowe and Amie Steffeneicher contributed to this report.
