CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

St. Patrick's Day is bringing some special feline adoption offers.

Starting Monday, March 9th through Saturday, March 21st, the Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control Center is allowing residents to adopt one of their Feline Lucky Charms for just $17 (additional charges apply for rabies vaccinations, FIV/FeLV testing).

Each kitty received several months of extra care at the shelter including health and temperament examinations by trained professionals.

Adoption fees include: spay or neuter, initial age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick treatment and a microchip. Most cats have also received their rabies vaccination and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV.

“A best friend is like a four-leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have,” said Diane Webber, Program Manager for the Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control Center.

So if you're wondering what our Feline Lucky Charms are hoping for more than the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow, it's a new Forever Home! Help make their dream come true. Adopt a Lucky Charm!

Shelter hours are Monday through Saturday, Noon to 5:00 p.m.
