WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A bus tour of agricultural practices in the Middle Cedar Watershed is set to be hosted.

The Cedar River Watershed Coalition will host the bus tour on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Organizers say the tour is a great opportunity for the public to hear from farmers and learn about the partnerships underway to improve water quality.

The bus tour will visit farms in the Miller Creek, Wolf Creek, and Pratt Creek watersheds in Black Hawk and Tama Counties to learn about agricultural conservation practices being employed to help reduce runoff from farm fields.

The public is invited to attend the free event, but space is limited.

The tour will start and end at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo.
