CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Rapids man is headed to federal prison after he used someone else's identity to apply for credit.

Terry L. Gantt, 28, pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft in Cedar Rapids federal court today.

Court documents show Gantt used someone else's name and social security number to apply for credit between November 2012 and February 2013.

Gantt faces up to 22 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. A sentencing date has not been set.
