BUCHANAN COUNTY (KWWL) -

A Rowley man has pleaded guilty to having sexual contact with a teenager.

The Buchanan County Attorney's Office says 24-year-old Michael Toms was sentenced to an imposed prison sentence of 10 years on a charge of 3rd degree sexual abuse.  Toms admitted to having sexual contact with a person who was 14 or 15 years of age between March 1 and April 30, 2014.

After serving his sentence, Toms will remain under supervision as if on parole for the rest of his life.

Toms is also required to register as a sex offender, submit a specimen for DNA profiling and complete sex offender treatment.

A no contact order also prevents Toms from having any contact with his victim for 5 years.  The no contact order can be renewed for additional five year terms.
