BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's office says a teenager was injured in a car accident caused by white-out conditions.

It happened just after 11 Wednesday morning. Authorities believe 19-year-old Evan Wheeler, of Dunkerton, was driving his car southbound on Interstate 380 near milemarker 68, and slowed down because of the low viability. His car was then struck another driven by Jessica Rundle, 29, of Jesup, according to deputies.

Wheeler was taken by ambulance to Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. He is expected to survive.

Rundle was not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
