Hawkeyes thrash Nebraska 74-46

LINCOLN, Neb. (KWWL) -

 Two games, two blowouts. For the second straight contest, the Iowa Hawkeyes took control and never looked back as they rolled past Nebraska 74-46. The victory comes just days after an 81-47 win over Rutgers.

Aaron White led the way with a double-double, 16 points and 11 rebounds. Peter Jok added 14 points in the Iowa victory.

The Hawkeye defense showed up big-time in the first half. Iowa smothered the Cornhuskers, leaving them with just 16 points in the first half. Iowa held a 26 point lead at the break, allowing them to cruise through the second half.

Iowa showed efficiency on offense as well. The Hawkeyes shot 50 percent from the field and hit 10 3-pointers in the game.

Nebraska's Shavon Shields, who scored 25 points in the first meeting with Iowa, scored just 3 on 1 of 6 shooting.
