CLEAR LAKE (KWWL) -

Two men face charges of cheating at a fishing tournament.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says Aaron Lauber, 23, of Clear Lake and Jason Schuttler, 25, of Manly, turned in the winning entry of 50 fish weighing 15 lbs., 14 oz. at the Yellow Bass Bonanza held in Clear Lake Feb. 8.

The DNR says the two men caught fish outside of the tournament's hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lauber and Schuttler each face one count of theft by deception.

First place in the tournament had a prize package valued at $1,500.
