CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - In an effort to stop teens from indoor tanning, UnityPoint Health St. Luke's Hospital, the Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center, and the American Cancer Society are working together.

The organizations will be holding a free program to help train people on how to prevent skin cancer.

They are hosting a free lunch program, "The Dangers of Indoor Tanning and What YOU Can Do About It."

The event  will be held at the  Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.

The focus will be on protecting Iowa's youth. Currently a bill is going through the Iowa Legislature that would ban people under the age of 18 from indoor tanning.
