What do Twitter users say they're giving up for Lent?

People are taking to social media to tell others what they will be giving up for Lent, and the website Open Bible is compiling the data to see what most people will be giving up this year.

As of Wednesday during the noon hour, 2015 Twitter Lent Tracker says that chocolate is the number one thing people will be giving up this Lenten season.

Of the almost 58,000 tweets sent during the week of Feb. 15, about 2,500 Twitter users are vowing not to eat chocolate.

Rounding out the top ten are:

2) Twitter - 2,170 tweets

3) School - 1,935 tweets

4) Social networking - 1,921 tweets

5) Alcohol - 1,611 tweets

6) Swearing - 1,087 tweets

7) Pop - 1,050 tweets

8) Sweets - 1,016 tweets

9) Fast food - 904 tweets

10) Coffee - 742 tweets

The website also gives you access to stats from the past seven years to compare what people gave up then.
