Bitterly cold air will settle over us for a couple of days, and strong winds are creating dangerous wind chills this morning down to -30 at times.

Air temperatures won't get much above 5 today in most areas, with northwest winds staying anywhere from 10 to 25 mph and gusting higher.

The winds die down tonight, but temperatures will plummet into the negative double digits. Therefore, wind chills will drop back to around -30 by morning.

A warm front will track through on Friday bringing temps back to the 20s, but also a chance of snow will track through.
