WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Two men are in custody in connection with an alleged act of hate vandalism in Waterloo.

Police say neighbors called after witnessing an act of vandalism to a car in the 1600 block of Cherry Hills Drive.

The car had broken windows with the phrase, "Bosnia f--- you" spray painted on it.

Police found 21-year-old Dayln Harrington and 36-year-old Andy Little nearby in the area of Golden Valley and Greenbriar drives.

Officials say both men appeared to have been drinking, and they found a bottle of vodka in Harrington's pocket.

Harrington also had a can of spray paint, and paint on his hands.

Little admitted to the act, saying he was "letting out frustration," and he "just hates Bosnians."

Documents show damage to the vehicle is estimated to be more than $1,000 but less than $10,000.

Both men are being charged with criminal mischief in connection with a hate crime, and public intoxication.
