Jesup boys impressive in win over West Central

Posted: Updated:
JESUP (KWWL) -

After a couple near misses as of late, Jesup finally picked up that signature victory. The J-Hawks hit several key shots, taking down an 18-2 West Central team 57-46.

The win comes after Jesup took a pair of #1 teams, Aplington-Parkersburg and Gladbrook-Reinbeck, down to the wire before falling in both contests.

Following a back and forth first quarter, the J-Hawks began to take control in the second. Kyle Schultz led the charge, hitting a three early in the second for an 18-13 lead. Minutes later, he hit a circus, up and under shot as Jesup would pull away from the Blue Devils down the stretch.

The contest was the last for West Central prior to the post-season. Jesup ends the regular season hosting South Hardin on Tuesday.
