Panther wrestlers take down Kent State 21-16

KENT, Ohio (KWWL) -  It took a pair of big upsets, but the UNI wrestling team got it done, taking down Kent State 21-16 on Sunday afternoon. The win snapped a 4-match losing streak for the Panthers.

UNI's Jarrett Jensen picked up the biggest shocker of the day. Jensen erased a 4-2 deficit against 2nd ranked 157 pounder Ian Miller, securing a 3rd period reversal to rally for a 5-4 upset victory.  Unranked Curt Maas followed suit at 174 pounds. Maas picked up a pair of takedowns to upset 18th ranked Caleb Marsh 6-1.

Dylan Peters recorded the Panthers' only fall of the day, pinning Del Vinas in the second period at 125 pounds.
