CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

UNI shot 64% from the field as the Panthers took down Drake 69-53 on Saturday night in the McLeod Center. The win tied an all-time UNI mark with 11 straight over conference competition. The Panthers also won at home for the 15th straight game.

Seth Tuttle led the way with 16 points, but the real story was the 14th ranked Panthers long range shooting. Matt Bohannon went 4 for 4 from the 3-point line, while teammate Paul Jesperson hit 4 for 5 from the arc. As a team, UNI (22-2, 11-1 MVC) hit 11 3-pointers, shooting 55% from long range.

The Panthers led the Bulldogs 36-20 at the half. Drake (7-17. 4-8 MVC) pulled within 9 in the second half, but never posed a real threat late in the game.
