IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

The Iowa Board of Regents has announced details of the University of Iowa presidential search committee.

The committee will have 21 people and will include Regents, university faculty, alumni, students, and members of the public.

Sally Mason announced earlier this year that she will be retiring this summer.

If you're interested in serving on the committee, contact Marcia Brunson at mbruns@iastate.edu.

If you want to share qualifications you expect of the next President, there will be a public forum on February 16.

Here's the breakdown of the search committee by position:

- 1 Vice President for Medical Affairs who will serve as Chair of the Committee

- 3 Members of the Board of Regents

- 2 Representatives of the University of Iowa Foundation

- 2 Representatives of the University of Iowa Alumni Association

- 1 Dean, UI Tippie College of Business or designee

- 7 President and President-Elect, University of Iowa Faculty Senate and five members of the faculty appointed by the Board of Regents Leadership from the nominations submitted by the Faculty Senate

- 1 President, UI Staff Council or designee

- 1 President, UI Student Government or designee

- 1 President, UI Graduate and Professional Student Government or designee

- 2 Members of the public appointed by the Board of Regents
