MARION (KWWL) -

Two people were arrested on Wednesday in connection with a Marion gas station robbery earlier in the day.

The Marion Police Department says they were called to Guppy's On The Go at 680 Lindale Drive at around 10:06 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man with a gun.

Once on scene, officers learned that a customer had been robbed in the parking lot at gunpoint. Money was stolen, but he was not injured.

The two suspects, 24-year-old Eric Hays and 24-year-old Tayla Baca, were later found at 1000 Parkview Drive in Marion. A search warrant was issued and the pair was arrested. Officers say they found the cash from the robbery and the gun used.

Hays is charged with first degree robbery. Baca is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.

Both were taken to the Linn County Jail.
