Fairbank man sentenced for indecent contact with child

A Fairbank man has been sentenced to a suspended prison term of two years and two years of probation after pleading guilty to indecent contact with a child.

58-year-old David Bentley was accused of touching the clothed breasts and inner thigh of an 11-year old minor who had previously received daycare services in his home.  Police arrested him on May 15, 2014 following investigation by the Fairbank Police Department and Iowa Department of Human Services.  He plead guilty yesterday.

Bentley is also required to register as a sex offender, and pay more than $1100 in fines and fees.
He's not allowed to have any contact with the victim for five years.  The no-contact order can be renewed after that time. which can be renewed.

After probation, Bentley will remain under the supervision of the Department of Correctional Services as if on parole for an additional period of ten years.
