CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Falls man faces three counts of invasion of privacy charges for allegedly recording three women while they were in the shower.

Officers arrested 24-year-old Zachary Brian Carstensen on January 22 after an investigation at 1804 College Street in Cedar Falls.

Police say a woman living in an apartment at 1804 College Street reported seeing a suspicious item in her ceiling in early January after returning from a holiday trip.

Through their investigation, police determined it was a camera and traced it to Carstensen's room. Carstensen lived directly above the woman.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers found a body camera, drill and computer equipment in Carstensen's room. They found several videos of three different women showering on the camera. Investigators say the camera had been placed under a bathroom door and turned on.

Police say Carstensen was arrested again a few day later on probation violation for allegedly breaking into the Cedar Falls Fire Department Headquarters on Main Street in September.
