A couple of low pressure systems will track through the region Tuesday and Wednesday -- the first will be a clipper system that will bring some light snow to the state today.

Most will be getting a trace to 2 inches of snow over the viewing area, with the heaviest aiming for the northern counties.

That will track out this evening with the second tracking farther to the south tomorrow. This will bring more snow to southwest Iowa, but we will be close enough to see some snow showers tomorrow.

Temperatures will cool to around -10 by Thursday morning, with dry weather into the weekend.
