CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The Cedar Falls Police Department says they will begin enforcing the 48-hour parking ordinance on Wednesday morning to allow for snow removal.

Starting Wednesday at 8 a.m., officers will begin ticketing all vehicles that are in violation of the ordinance. Any vehicle that is not moved 24 hours after receiving a ticket will be towed.

It is necessary for the vehicles to moved so that snow plows can clear the snow from all city streets to allow for safe travel.

Cedar Falls residents are also reminded to clear the sidewalks in front of their homes. You can be fined and charged for the clearing of your sidewalks if it is not completed according to the ordinance.
