UNI women hold off Missouri State 64-56

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

 The UNI women held off a second half rally and went on to defeat Missouri State 64-56 in the McLeod Center.

Madison Weekly led the Panther effort with 24 points. Weekly hit an impressive 6 of 8 three-point field goals. Amber Sorenson added 13 for UNI (11-9, 7-2 MVC).

The Panthers were on fire in the first half, building a 19 point lead late in the half. Missouri State (8-12, 5-4 MVC), however, responded with an 18-1 run, pulling them within 2 late in the contest. That's when Weekly took over, hitting her next 5 three-point attempts to put the game away.
