A rain and snow mixture is expected to hit the area by Saturday evening, mainly affecting areas south of Hwy. 20.
The clouds will clear Thursday evening and the wind will diminish overnight all as high pressure moves into the Midwest.
We end the week with sunshine and a light wind, but temperatures will be a bit cooler. The sky remains clear most of Friday night.
Clouds increase quickly Saturday morning. By late afternoon or evening a light rain/snow mix develops south of Highway 20.
This eventually changes to light snow before midnight and spreads across all of eastern Iowa.
Light snow overnight will taper off Sunday afternoon with light accumulations.
High temperatures Sunday only reach the teens, with a gusty wind blowing the snow around. Roads will be slick, so plan according.
