Teen dies in Davis County crash

DAVIS COUNTY (KWWL) -

A teenage girl is dead and 4 others injured after a single vehicle crash in Davis County. 

The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened a little before 1:30 a.m. Saturday on 160th Street near Floris.

They say a pickup truck driven by Rocky Lee, 19, of Floris, crested a hill at high speed which caused him to lose control, go into the ditch, hit a fence, and roll several times.

Three people were thrown from the truck during the crash.

The crash killed Mariah Marshall, 17, of Bloomfield.

Four others were injured including Lee, Hunter Collins, 20, of Blakesburg, Amanda Carr, 16, of Pulaski, and Austin Ridgeway, 19, of Lancaster, Missouri.

Collins and Ridgeway were airlifted to an Iowa City hospital.

Lee and Carr are in a Bloomfield hospital for treatment.

The State Patrol says charges are pending.
