WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Mid-American Energy says faulty equipment is to blame for a power outage that left nearly 350 customers in the dark for about two hours.

Ashton Newman, spokesperson for Mid-American Energy, says a power line fell to the ground due to faulty equipment at around 10:53 a.m. Friday. Newman says the power was back on at around 12:47 p.m.

The outage impacted about 348 customers on the east side of the city.
