WATERLOO (KWWL) -

A Waterloo inmate that failed to return to the work release facility is being sought by law enforcement.

Officials with the Department of Corrections say 35-year-old Curtis Wilmer Austin III failed to return to the Waterloo Work Release facility on Monday after his work day was over.

Austin, who was put on work release on December 15 after his parole was revoked, has been serving a 25-year sentence for first degree burglary since December 26, 2002.

Austin is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5'11" tall and weighs about 203 pounds. He has a tattoo on his chest and a mole on his left cheek.

If you have any information on Austin's whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Waterloo Police Department or Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department.
