Cedar Rapids Titans release open tryout details

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

The Cedar Rapids Titans have released details for their open tryouts that will be held next month.

The Indoor Football League team, which will begin its fourth year in the league, will hold open tryouts on Sunday, February 1st AirFX Trampoline Park at 1100 N 18th Ave. in Hiawatha. Registration and warm-up begins at 7 a.m. and the tryout starts at 8 a.m.

The registration fee is $65. Housing is available for players at the Microtel Inn & Suites located at 5500 Dyer Avenue in Marion. The cost for housing is $25 per night and includes a continental breakfast.

You must be at least 18-years-old and will be evaluated in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, bench press, four cone drill, standing broad jump, agility drills, position-specific drills and 7-on-7. Kickers will be evaluated on kickoff and field goal proficiency.

The Titans kick-off the 2015 season at home on Friday, February 13th at 7:05pm against the Nebraska Danger.
