CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A family golf pass is up for grabs by the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department.

The pass is to help encourage families to play golf and help them saving money.

The family pass will allow a maximum of two adult players, all children ages 6 to 17 (high school senior) who reside in the same household, and any children who are 24 years or younger and registered in college full-time, an opportunity to play golf anytime Monday through Friday and after noon on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The pass is valid for play at all four City golf courses (Ellis, Jones, Gardner and Twin Pines).

The pass sells for $1495 which provides a savings of over $500 for a family of four with children under 18 and a savings of nearly $900 for a family of four with two college students. Passes are for sale online at http://www.playcedarrapidsgolf.com/golf/ecom_v2/ecom.php.

Passes carry the same conditions as Gold, Silver, Junior and College golf passes. Members under the Family pass must be declared, all at one time, when purchasing the golf pass. Any golfer who purchased their 2015 golf pass in December and would like to upgrade to the Family Golf pass, may do so this month at the Jones Clubhouse, 2901 Fruitland Blvd SW.
