CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A Cedar Rapids man who plead guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine was sentenced to 420 months in federal prison.

Jacob Brisbin, 28, was sentenced on Monday after entering a guilty plea in October.

Evidence showed that Brisbin was the leader of a drug trafficking organization and was in charge of making meth almost daily.

Over the past year, prosecutors say Brisbin personally made 1.5 kilograms of the drug. During that time, Brisbin distributed the "ice" to his customers.

While his case was pending, Brisbin was detained in the Linn County Jail, and during that time, according to the United State's Attorney's Office, he worked to obstruct justice by influencing witness testimony.

He's in the custody of U.S. Marshals until he can be taken to federal prison.
