CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

To honor the career's of two former men's swimming coaches, Cedar Rapids Washington High School will be renaming the high school pool in their honor.

During the dedication ceremony on Saturday, Jan. 17, the Warrior pool will be renamed the Hal Krizan-Jim Voss Pool.

The dedication ceremony starts before the start of the Jim Voss Swim Invitational swim meet at 12:30 p.m.

Between the two, Krizan and Voss led the Warriors to 26 state men's swimming championships.

The Washington men's swim team has only had three coaches in the history of the program. Krizan coached from 1957-1975; Voss coached from 1973-1998; Chris Cruise is the current coach, and he's served in the position since 1998.
