FCC starts new online consumer help center

Posted: Updated:
(NBC) - If you've got a complaint about your cable, phone or internet service, the Federal Communications Commission wants to hear from you.

The FCC has a new online consumer help center.

It offers information on common issues and ways to resolve them.

It also allows consumers to file complaints and get quicker responses.

You can submit a complaint and the site provides you with a tracking number that allows you to check on the status of that complaint.

After considering if there's action to take, the FCC will send the complaint directly to the particular service provider who must respond in writing within 30 days and copy you on the response.

The new consumer help center can be found herehttp://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov
