Subaru issues second recall for brake line issues

Posted: Updated:
(NBC) - Subaru is recalling nearly 200,000 cars and SUVs -- for a second time.

The car company is recalling cars and trucks to fix rusty brake lines that can leak fluid and cause longer stopping distances.

The recall involves the 2009 through 2013 Forester, 2008 through 2011 Impreza, and the 2008 through 2014 WRX and WRX-STI models in 20 states and Washington, D.C.

The Subaru recall affects vehicles registered or originally sold in Iowa,

Dealers will apply a corrosion-fighting wax to a brake line for free.

A recall from last year for the same problem didn't work since dealers had incomplete repair instruction.
