The Linn and Buchanan County Conservation boards are hosting a one-day bus tour to Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin for Bald Eagle Days on the Mississippi River.

The day begins along the Mississippi to watch the morning displays of overwintering eagles.

Followed by a trip to the Prairie du Chien Exhibit Hall to see educational displays, as well as live bald eagles, owls and falcons.

Snacks and lunch will be available at the expo center.

After leaving PdC, the bus heads south on the Great River Rd. on the river's west side to Guttenberg's lock and dam; that's where a Clayton County naturalist will show a late day eagle viewing.

The bus picks up at 6:30 a.m. in Hiawatha at the Cedar Valley Nature Trail Parking Area and at 7:30 a.m. at Fontana Park south of Hazleton; the tour wraps up in the evening, with the bus getting back to Hazleton around 5:30 and back to Hiawatha around 6:30.

The cost is $55 for adults and $30 for kids under 12.
