One person is in the hospital after a truck hits a home and started on fire, according to Waterloo Police.

It happened early Tuesday morning at 4 a.m. at West 9th Street in Waterloo.

One person was sent to the hospital. The name or condition of the person is not being released at this time.

The truck had a snow plow attached.

Police said they don't know if weather played a role in the crash.

They said they have left the truck at the crash site because they believe it's holding up the deck of the home.

The crash is under investigation.
