Hawkeyes take down the Huskers 70-59

IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

 The Iowa Hawkeyes got a pair of big performances from Aaron White and Gabe Olesani to take down Nebraska 70-59. The win moved Iowa to 2-0 in the Big Ten Conference for the first time in 12 years.

White led the way with 23 points, while Olesani added a career high 18. The Hawkeye duo combined to score 24 of those from the free throw line. White knocked down 12 of 15 from the charity stripe, Olesani went 12 of 13.

After taking a 4 point lead to the halftime break, the Hawkeyes would fall behind briefly. A pair of Shavon Shield free throws would give Nebraska a 51-50 lead with under 8 minutes to go. Iowa would then put it away on an 11-3 run shortly after.
