Dangerous wind chills now, 4-8" of snow expected

Posted: Updated:

Dangerous wind chills to -25 are spread over the area this morning, but the next system is already making headlines. WINTER STORM WARNINGS go into effect Monday afternoon and continue overnight.

Snow will develop around mid-afternoon Monday and will continue until around 2 or 3 a.m. Tuesday.

We will have moderate snowfall with several inches expected. We could have 2-4" by Monday evening, with another few inches Monday night bringing the total to 4-8" of fluffy stuff.

And that fluff will be picked up pretty easily by winds late Monday night and Tuesday, causing blowing snow and reduced visibility.

And we keep the frigid air and dangerous chills most of the week.
