CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The UNI Panthers bounced back from their conference opening loss to take down Loyola 67-58 on Sunday.

Jeremy Morgan led the way with UNI, scoring a career high 18 points. Deon Mitchell added 13 in the victory.

The Panthers led 32-28 at half, but would begin to put the game away early in the second. Mitchell put together his own personal 7-0 run to quickly push the UNI lead to 11. Loyola closed the gap late, thanks in part to 7 straight missed free throws from UNI, but couldn't overcome the Panther lead.

UNI continues MVC play on Wednesday, hosting Southern Illinois
