UPDATE: Child dies in shooting, two injured

GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (KWWL) -

The Grant County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the victims in Friday's shootings.

They say 6-year-old Jaxon Slaight died in his home on E. Main Street.

His brother, 8-year-old Joseph, and their mother, 27-year-old Morgan Slaight are in critical but stable condition in a Madison hospital.

The sheriff says there is no threat to the public but there is no suspect at this time.

The Grant County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting which left a six-year-old dead.

Just before 3:30 p.m. Friday, the Sheriff's Office was notified of possible gunshot victims inside a resident in the Village of Montfort.

Deputies responded and found three victims with gunshot wounds. One six-year-old victim was dead at the scene, while an eight-year-old and woman were med-flighted to Madison.

The case is still being investigated; no other details are being released at this time.
