Winter Storm Warning issued; 5"-9" possible

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Monday for much of the area, and bitterly cold air will continue to grip the area through the upcoming week with heavy snow possible Monday into Tuesday.  

A wind chill advisory is in effect for the area through 9 a.m. on Monday. 


Expect to see wind chills approaching -20 to -30. 


Please use extreme caution if you are outside as frostbite can occur in a matter of minutes. 


On Monday, a winter storm will be approaching the area from the northwest.


A winter storm WARNING is in effect for much of the KWWL viewing area from 2pm Monday through 3am Tuesday.


Snow is expected to start Monday afternoon and may become heavy Monday evening.


Current track of this storm would put a swath of heavy snow across and north of Hwy. 30.


Current snowfall totals are expected to range from 5 to 9" across the KWWL viewing area.


Winds will be gusty as well causing blowing and drifting snow along with bitterly cold wind chills.
