LINN COUNTY (KWWL) -

The Anamosa Fire Department says smoke detectors alerted an adult and child when a fire started in a trailer on New Year's Eve.

The fire happened just before 5:00 p.m. at 4209 Frozen Hill Road in Linn County.

Authorities say the adult and child called 911 after they left their home.  No one was hurt.

The trailer is a total loss.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
