WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Police say they have found the woman that was seen running from the scene of a car crash that injured two people.

It happened around 6 p.m. in Waterloo. Two cars were involved. Traffic was blocked at the intersection of Franklin St and E Mullen for about an hour.

KWWL's Michael Crowe witnessed the accident, and watched the driver of one car run from the scene. When asked if she was injured, she didn't respond. After several minutes searching for something inside the vehicle, she fled.

Police say they've tracked her down, and have cited her in connection with the wreck. Her name has not been released, and police cannot discuss the specific citations, though one was for leaving the scene. She was not arrested.

One witness told KWWL they thought she was texting and driving. Police say alcohol was not involved.

Cedrice and Debora Johnson were in the other car, according to their son, Durell. Both were taken to the hospital.

"It's crazy man, it's my family," Durell said. "I hope they're doing alright, I'm just trying to make sure they're straight."

He said he was frustrated that the other driver left.

"To just run off, I thought they'd be hurt, but they just ran off," he said. "You know what I mean? Did nothing. It's a crazy world out there."
