BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL) -

A truck driver from northern Iowa is injured after a wreck in Black Hawk County Wednesday afternoon.  The crash happened just before 1:00 p.m.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says 70-year-old Ronald Kletsch of Estherville was heading north on Interstate 380 when he veered off the road and hit a guardrail.  His semi & trailer sideswiped pillar supports of a bridge before coming to a stop.

Kletsch was hauling rolled steel, driving for J & R Trucking of Estherville.

Rescue crews had to extricate Kletsch from the vehicle.  They took him to Covenant Medical Center where his current condition hasn't been publicly released.

The crash impacted traffic, closing a roadway until around 5:15 p.m.
