DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque Police Department announced in a press release today they will receive a $2,500 donation from the Dubuque Area Landlord Association for body cameras.

The money will be presented Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Dubuque Law Enforcement Center.

The Dubuque Police has had limited use of body cameras for the past five years, they said, but recently formed a committee to research acquiring more for their officers.

They say this money will help them cover initial costs as they continue to work to identify funding sources.
